Alison Burchert has been a recognised pastel portrait artist throughout Essex for nearly 40 years. From being the resident artist at Colchester Zoo to painting many public art sculptures, her main passion is fine detailed portraits of people and animals.

Her commissioned work varies from memorial and family portraits, to all breeds of pets, cars and wildlife. Alison also teaches her skills in pastel workshops from her home in Tiptree. She holds adult classes and courses all year round and teaches children during the school holidays.
