Bex Bakes was founded in June 2021 by Rebecca King a former Events Producer for London Fashion Week.

Since the very beginning her business took off extremely quickly and her afternoon teas are a bestseller. Rebecca also caters with buffets for events and is fondly known as ‘The Cake Lady’

She works tirelessly for the community of Stanway by organising charitable fundraising events bringing the local independent businesses together and creating a feel good factor in everything that she does.

She also runs Kids Baking Workshops in Tollgate Village Hall during half term holidays which attracts over 50 children for the day who come along and bake and learn how to decorate cup cakes.

Rebecca has strong links with Stanway Parish Council and organised a successful event for the Queens Jubilee and also the Kings Coronation which attracts all the local community.

She is also in the process of championing an official Stanway Market with the leader of Essex County Council and has a strong ethos of building up smaller independent businesses in Stanway.

Bex Bakes is run solely by Rebecca and she is working hard to be able to eventually expand into premises in the heart of Stanway so that she can offer her home made goodies on a larger scale.

Her baking is well known for being tasty, fresh and having an authentic old school slant mixed with exciting and delicious flavours.
